In PostgreSQL 19, the following parameters have been changed.

3.3.1 Added Parameters

Password Expiration Warning

If the password’s expiration date is within the range specified by the password_expiration_warning_threshold parameter (default value: 7 days), a warning will be output during authentication. [1d92e0c]

3.3.2 Changed Parameters

The following parameters have been changed in terms of setting range and choices. [38e0190, 1efdd7c, 8a6af3a, 12da457, bf5da5d]

Parameter name	Change
data_checksums	f the checksum is currently being enabled, the status changes to “inprogress-on”. Data type changed from boolean to enum
extension_control_path	If an extension with the same name exists in the specified path, the first path found is output to the pg_available_extensions view
io_workers	Split into io_max_workers and io_min_workers
log_min_messages	The log output level can now be changed for each process type.
sync_replication_slots	To enable this parameter, the wal_level parameter must be set to logical
wal_receiver_timeout	The context for configuration changes has been changed from signup to user

Specifying the log_min_messages parameter

The log_min_messages parameter now supports changing the log output level on a per-process basis. Specify process names and levels separated by colons (:), and separate multiple processes with commas (,). [38e0190]
